Shebreh Kalantari -Johnson
Shebreh Kalantari-Johnson, MSW, brings over two decades of experience dedicated to public health, and policy development through equity-centered systems change. As Co-Founder of Impact Launch, she partners with public agencies and nonprofits across California to design strategic plans, manage complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives, and implement organizational growth and change. Shebreh has led cross-sector efforts addressing childhood obesity, youth substance use, youth and young adult homelessness, juvenile justice reform, and immigration. As a practitioner of Dr. Monica Sharma’s Radical Transformational Leadership, Shebreh has implemented the framework for over a decade and has supported the leadership training of hundreds of individuals. An experienced grant writer, she has secured $100M+ for health, education, and social service programs. Elected to the Santa Cruz City Council in 2020, Shebreh has advanced policy initiatives that institutionalize supports for children and families-including Children & Youth Bill of Rights, Santa Cruz Children’s Fund, and Sugar-Sweetened Beverage. Shebreh is a NewDeal Leader and a Rodel Institute Fellow. Shebreh holds a B.A. in Psychology and French/Francophonie Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and an Masters in Social Work from San Jose State University.
